KRAVTEX Ltd was formed in 1992, a company exporting new and renewed Ikarus busses and bus fittings in the beginning. It reached high results amongst the similar export-oriented companies and has also played an important part in maintaining the Hungarian bus production business alive. In 1994 the company bought factory-premises and began renovating Ikarus busses. Next to the huge fitting-production export it also delivered about 600 completely reconstructed Ikarus busses, mainly to the territory of the Russian Federation. In 1997 KRAVTEX Ltd purchased the majority of the stocks of the formerly privatised KÜHNE agricultural machine factory share company and today hires a personal of over 500 and has 3 industrial factories: The bus-building factory in Győr in it the modern, all-inclusive production hall, suitable for putting 18-20 new busses together simultaneously The KÜHNE agricultural machine factory share company, founded in 1856, which is the country?s oldest and most important machine factory, and The KÜHNE foundry Ltd owned to 100% by KÜHNE share company At the beginning of 1999 the group reached a highly important strategic decision: relying on its experience in bus renovation, its multi-purpose capacity and experience gained in the past 150 years KÜHNE began the production of a new 9, 5 m long bus-family under the CREDO brand name. The production licence was bought from the Czech Sor Libchavy company - the close relationship with the licensor remained during the innovations. In the second half of 2000 the product range was expanded by the 11 m long bus-family. The monocoque body of the busses is fabricated entirely by KÜHNE share company - with their assembly and preparation being conducted in KRAVTEX?s factory in Győr. We apply ISO 9001 quality assurance system in our factories The mass-produced, six-cylinder Euro 3 Iveco diesel engines - produced according to the highest ecological norms and standards - have 176 kW power.
